How a second room would actually happen

Not by us deciding a city looks good on a map. A room works because forty people in one metro can reach the same venue on a weeknight and keep doing it every month, so the only thing that matters is whether enough of the right people in one place want it. That is what this page measures.

So this is a genuine signal rather than a mailing list. If your city shows up repeatedly from people who transact there, it moves up the list.

In the meantime

Yes, and the first event is free. Travelling in for a single evening is usually not worth it though, because the value comes from being there repeatedly.
